Lower Elementary: Ages 6-9 (Grades 1-3)
Upper Elementary: Ages 9-12 (Grades 4-6)
Secondary Ages: 12-15 (Grades 7-8)
The Montessori Elementary curriculum is based on Cosmic Education-an interdependent academic vision which provides the child with a participatory view of the unity of the cosmos, the unity of life, and the unity of mankind. It is a time of insatiable curiosity and excitement for learning. Elementary students strive for intellectual independence. They learn to face challenges with confidence and begin to find their own place in the world around them.
The Secondary curriculum builds on the elementary foundation and introduces the students to time management and self -conscious academic achievement as true autonomy begins to form. All three levels will include math, science, language and cultural studies, as well as physical education, music, art, literature, community service, and foreign language activities. We are devoted to a holistic education for each child through the Montessori philosophy and tradition.
